Event:  The U.S. Mission to Australia plans to send Alerts once per week unless local conditions warrant immediate messaging. 

As of July 1, the state of Victoria has increased restrictions on several postcodes in the Melbourne area. Please see this site for a list of areas included and details on the restrictions. 

The Victorian government has also requested that incoming international flights to Melbourne be diverted to other cities for two weeks starting July 1. There are currently no scheduled direct flights from the United States to Melbourne. If your travel has been disrupted, please contact your airline.

Restrictions and state and territory border closures related to COVID-19 are evolving. U.S. citizens are encouraged to visit the website of each state and territory for the latest on COVID-19 restrictions (the Australian Capital TerritoryNew South Wales, the Northern TerritoryQueenslandSouth AustraliaTasmaniaVictoria, and Western Australia).
