Youth Advisory Councils – Sydney and Brisbane

The Youth Advisory Council is a group of 10-12 high achievers with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences who meet regularly with the Consul General to discuss pertinent issues and share their thoughts on the future of U.S. – Australia relations. There will be two councils in 2021 – one in Sydney and one in Brisbane.

The goals of the Council are:
    • To advise the Consul General on next gen issues (e.g., what do Australian youth care about and why?);
    • To suggest effective modes of youth outreach for the Consulate; and
    • To participate in Consulate events as representatives of the Council.
