General Consulate Office Hours: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Counter hours for passports and other routine services are 8:00 am – 11:30 am Monday to Thursday (Except U.S. and Western Australian public holidays).  Entry into the Consular Section for non-emergency services is by appointment only. Emergency Services and Assistance

In the event of an emergency involving an American citizen that requires urgent consular assistance please call the U.S. Consulate General Perth at (08) 6144-5100 – 8:00am to 4:30pm Perth time on business days. After business hours, dial (08) 9476-0081.  When calling from the United States, dial 011-618-6144-5100 during business hours or 011-618-9476-0081 for after-hours assistance.

Emergencies include the death, arrest or serious injury/illness of an American citizen and victims of serious crime.  Emergencies do not include inquiries about U.S. visas (including green cards and naturalization), or routine passport, citizenship, notary, taxation or federal benefits questions.

U.S. Commercial Service

The U.S. Commercial Service, within the International Trade Administration at the U.S. Department of Commerce, helps American companies to find qualified, local partners, to overcome trade barriers, and to gain exposure in the Australian market with the overarching goal of increasing U.S. exports abroad.

In Australia, the U.S. Commercial Service has offices in Sydney, Canberra and Perth. Commercial Service Specialists throughout our three posts can provide day-to-day business counselling to American exporters as well as customized market research and match making services, most notably through the Gold Key Service, the International Partner Search, the International Company Profile and the Single Company Promotion.

The U.S. Commercial Service also spearheads official U.S. Government advocacy efforts in support of American companies competing for local government public procurement contracts.
