Consulate Perth Launches Campaign Highlighting U.S. Economic Engagement

The U.S. Consulate General Perth has launched a digital campaign highlighting America’s economic engagement in Western Australia.

The campaign is running across the Consulate’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter social media channels and Mission Australia’s LinkedIn. It covers a wide-range of sectors including mining and resources, health, education, and more.

Consul General David Gainer said America’s economic engagement in WA is tremendous, and often under appreciated.

“Thousands of jobs and hundreds of businesses are created through U.S. investment in Western Australia,” Consul General Gainer said.

“It goes from the red dirt in the Kimberley to the bluest water in the Great Southern and all that’s in between.”

Featured American companies include Chevron, Amazon, and Alcoa, along with the prestigious Fulbright Program. The campaign also includes research from leading Australian think-tanks and universities.

The campaign will run for the remainder of 2021. Western Australians are encouraged to share their stories of U.S. economic engagement on social media, using the hashtag #AllianceInAction.

“America has partnered with WA for decades and we believe in our shared prosperity,” Consul General Gainer said.
